Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income

At Lucky Barry Casino we want every session to be something you choose, enjoy and can afford. Games of chance are built as entertainment: outcomes are random, the odds favour the house, and over time most players lose more than they win. Playing to make money, or to win back money already lost, is the point at which it stops being entertainment.

Before you play, decide how much you can afford to lose and how long you want to spend. Stake only money set aside for leisure, never money needed for rent, bills, food or credit repayments, and never money you have borrowed. When you reach the figure you set, stop for the day instead of depositing again.

  • Set a budget before you open a game, then set a deposit limit so the budget is enforced for you.
  • Keep track of time as well as money, and switch on a reality check if you tend to lose track.
  • Take regular breaks, and avoid playing when you are tired, upset or drinking.
  • Never chase losses. Raising your stakes to recover a loss usually makes the loss bigger.
  • Keep gambling as one pastime among others rather than your main way to relax.

Our services are for adults only. You must be 18 or over to open an account or place a bet with us, and you may only use payment methods held in your own name. We hold a gaming licence and carry out identity and age checks on accounts, so we may ask you for documents before or after you deposit or request a withdrawal. If we find that an account holder is under 18, the account is closed, stakes are void and any winnings are withheld.

The tools in your account and how to switch them on

Every account includes a set of safer gambling controls. You will find them in the safer gambling area of the cashier or account menu. They are free to use, you can set them at any time, and you do not have to give us a reason.

ToolWhat it doesWhen it applies
Deposit limitCaps how much you can deposit in a chosen period, such as daily, weekly or monthly.A lower limit applies at once; a request to raise or remove one takes effect only after the cooling-off period shown in your account.
Loss limitCaps the net amount you can lose over a chosen period, counting returns against stakes.Reductions are immediate, increases are delayed in the same way.
Session limitLimits how long a single session can run before you are logged out.Applies from your next login after you save it.
Reality checkShows an on-screen reminder at an interval you choose, with your time played and your net position.Applies to all play until you change it.
Time-outLocks your account for a short break, from one day up to the longest period offered in your account.Starts as soon as you confirm and cannot be lifted early.
Self-exclusionCloses play for a longer minimum period and stops all marketing to you.Cannot be lifted early; access is restored only after the period ends, a further cooling-off period passes and you ask us to reopen the account.

How to switch a control on

  1. Log in to your account and open the cashier or account menu.
  2. Select the safer gambling section.
  3. Choose the control you want: a deposit, loss or session limit, a reality check, a time-out or self-exclusion.
  4. Enter the amount, period or interval that fits your budget and confirm it.
  5. Check the confirmation on screen and in your e-mail so you know the setting is live.

If you cannot find a setting, our live chat team can apply it for you, or write to support@casino-luckybarry.co.uk. We will not try to talk you out of a limit, and we do not send marketing to accounts that are self-excluded or on a time-out.

Limits are quick to tighten, slow to loosen

You can lower a limit immediately. A request to raise or remove one is held for the cooling-off period shown in your account and must be confirmed again before it applies. That delay is deliberate: it stops a decision made in the middle of a session from undoing one you made calmly.

Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem

Difficulties with gambling build up gradually and are often easier to see from the outside than from the inside. The checklist below is not a diagnosis, but if any of it sounds familiar, consider setting a limit, taking a time-out or contacting one of the organisations in the next section.

  • You play for longer, or with more money, than you planned to.
  • You deposit again after reaching your budget, or go back to win losses back.
  • You borrow money, sell belongings or use money meant for bills in order to keep playing.
  • You hide how much you gamble from your partner, family or friends.
  • You feel restless, irritable or low when you are not gambling.
  • Gambling is affecting your sleep, work, studies, mood or relationships.
  • You have tried to cut down or stop and found that you could not.
  • Someone close to you has said they are worried about your gambling.

Where to get free, confidential help

Help in the UK is free and confidential, whether you are worried about your own gambling or about someone else's. You do not need a referral, and you do not have to be in crisis to use it.

  • GambleAware: a charity that commissions and signposts free treatment and prevention work in Great Britain, with self-assessment tools and clear information on how gambling products work.
  • GamCare: provides free counselling, group support and structured treatment for people harmed by gambling, in person and online, and also helps affected family members.
  • GamStop: the free self-exclusion scheme that blocks you from all online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain for a period you choose, once you have registered with it.
  • National Gambling Helpline: confidential advice from trained advisers at any hour of the day, for anyone affected by gambling, including friends and relatives.

You can also ask your GP about local services, speak to a free debt advice charity if money is the pressing worry, and ask your bank whether it offers a gambling block on your card. Those measures work alongside the controls in your account rather than replacing them.

If you would like us to apply a self-exclusion or close your account, contact live chat or e-mail support@casino-luckybarry.co.uk and we will action it and confirm in writing.

Protecting children and others in your household

We verify the age and identity of every account holder as part of our registration and verification checks, and we may repeat those checks at any time. We will not process a withdrawal to an account we cannot confirm belongs to an adult. Alongside our own checks, a few simple steps at home keep your account out of reach of anyone under 18.

  • Keep your username, password and payment details to yourself, and do not store them in a shared browser.
  • Log out fully when you finish, particularly on a shared computer, tablet or phone.
  • Lock your devices with a PIN, pattern or biometric so nobody else can open your account.
  • Install parental control or filtering software on devices children use: it can block gambling content and restrict app installs and in-app payments.
  • Keep cards and e-wallet details out of reach, and check your statements for payments you did not make.

Letting anyone else use your account, including a person under 18, breaches our terms and may void stakes and winnings. If you think a child has reached your account, tell us straight away through live chat or support@casino-luckybarry.co.uk so that we can secure it and look into what happened.
